Diploma of Montessori Education
The Montessori Diploma of Education provides a comprehensive and detailed study of the theory and skills involved in the delivery of a Montessori education programme for children aged 0-6 years. This course is currently in the process of being accredited.
This program is delivered part-time over a period of 1 – 2 years.
The program involves attendance at a two hour ‘theory’ tutorial once a month and a six hour ‘materials’ workshop once a month as well as 60 hours working in a Montessori classroom.
Method of Study
The majority of our lessons are conducted in the classroom and Early Childhood environment. All learners receive a set of learning guides, books and their own personal portal which they can download and receive their assessments. Access to your tutor through phone, email or face to face classes ensures you have full support of the college.
There are no academic pre-requisites however all students must demonstrate their English Language proficiency at time of enrolment by undertaking the Language, Literacy and Numeracy test supplied by BFES.
There are many including working in the Early Childhood industry within a Montessori-based service, as an Assistant Group Leader/Teacher or Director, in the Family Day Care industry as a provider, within a Montessori school setting as a teacher aide or in conjunction with teaching qualifications, as a Teacher.
Further education can be in the form of further courses, attending exhibitions, or specialised in-service training in the areas of Early Education and Montessori. All candidates are offered advice on their employment options.
The Diploma of Montessori costs $4000.
A non-refundable course deposit of $200- is required to be paid upon enrolment. This ensures your place and your allocation of text books.
